Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 357 and 358

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Heres hoping for some calls and letters soon!! 39 days

I'm glad I have all of you! Please post once you received a letter or a call.

Has anyone in this group heard from their SR?

I have not

Hi:  I haven't heard anything yet.  He left Aug. 23.  His wife received the call that he arrived and his box-other than that neither of us has received a letter yet.  Checking the mail everyday.

I'm trying to look at it this way:  Our children have volunteered to protect our Country even if that means they will pay the ultimate price to do it.  We need and want them to have the best training that the United States Navy can give them.  If they are not learning to work as a team, to be strong together and united then it is the job of their RDC to do whatever it takes to train them to be the absolute best they can be.  So, if that means that we don't get to hear from them for a little bit longer just so they can have their entire focus on their training so be it.  I would rather they be a safe, strong, well trained, united team of young men and women!

I will be strong and patient even though it's not easy!

We received 5 letters today :)

Awesome! Any good stuff to share? My fingers are crossed for tomorrow.

Waiting to get a phone call still. No letters aside from that first one, but now i have my hopes up!

I still have not received the form letter

My SR say's that mail is better than Christmas! He said BC is absolutely nothing like the internet says. After his "I've arrived call" the screaming began!!  He's sleeping good but it's hard to get used to the red lights. The food is low cal so he is really hungry and thinks he may have lost some weight. There are a lot of talkers in their DIV and they lack teamwork but it's coming along.  He said class is nothing like High School because the make you do push ups at any time. He asked me to tell my daughter that she was a baby when she had her wisdom teeth out (she laid in bed for a week), they pulled his in 10 minutes, gave him Motrin, one day of rest and then it was back to it! They got "dropped" for being late (I have no idea what this means). 91 guys can shower in 20 minutes. 11 people have been sent home. He didn't get a card for personal expenses so has been using his debit card, he asked for more money. He misses us but is doing just fine!

It was such a relief to hear from him!

That's great! I finally got my form letter...hoping for more. I was told they wouldn't need money...this concerns me. We will pray for them all.
