Brit heard from Justin today! He's doing ok.  She got the form yesterday with

all his info.  So now we can start sending letters. :0)  I really wish I could have

talked to him myself but I'm grateful I have a great daughter in law that keeps

me informed!!  His graduation is July 8th.  I can't wait to see him!!

PIR

I was just wondering how long do we have with our sailor. I don't know whether to leave Sunday or Monday. I want as much time as I can, of course!

Has anyone found a better airport and hotel to stay?

His PIR is July 8th and i do understand to book everything early.

Thanks for your help and support. Great website to have :)

Need Someone to send COUPONS to

Hello ladies I recently began clipping coupons to save a little extra cash. There are several coupons I have that I have not used. I have heard through the grapevine that I can send these coupons to military families overseas. Do you know of anyone who could use them that I could send them to?

Thank you

Got first call!

I got my first phone call from my son yesterday at 4:40pm. We got to talk for 25 minutes, he took a calling card with him but said they are easily acquired at the store they have on base if you need to purchase one. It was a mandatory call everyone gets. Received my first letter the previous day. - Calvin said the days start at 6am and end at 9:30/10:00pm so he has been really tired and had just got the chance to write and it took 6 days for me to…

May be headed to Norfollk! I need inputs!!

Well it's been a while since I've been on here but I've been so busy with school and I am finally a Senior in college!

After I graduate with my bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Photography along with some Education courses (basically an associates) I plan to finish my degree in Virginia for Education. Along with going to Virginia, My

Sailor is finally done with C school and has been stationed in Norfolk, VA for the next 4 years. And that's why I'm back, not only to…

Finally got 1st letter!

I got my first letter today from my son- I cannot express the joy I felt the moment I opened the mailbox and there it was! The first thing he said was "happy mother's day mom". He is adjusting and seems to be in a positive frame of mind and said he should be getting to call us this weekend. Took 3 weeks until he was able to write.

Well, it's official!

My son was sworn in yesterday! He is over - the - moon happy, despite a little heartbreak in the career counseling room. He is qualified for tons of jobs and yet not one popped up on the screen as available! I'm so new to this, therefore was very confused. Thankfully, my husband, a Navy vet was with him and after a long chat, my son decided that he wants in no matter what he has to do. He has been talking about this since he was a little boy and did not want to walk away! So, we wait,…

Still waiting...

My son left for boot camp on April 26th. I got 'the box' on the following Friday and cried all day. I am still waiting to hear from him... He is on ship 09 div 207. This is one of the hardest things ever.

A month later and still no word

Here we are a month later and still no word yet!  Medical Records Clerk did not submit the final paperwork in for a week after he/she received it.  Then part of the original paperwork we sent back in January was missing and this is paperwork we have resent 3-4 times already!  Then the wanted to review his file.  She was out of the office for two weeks and wasn't returning until May 2nd.  It has been more than a week now and still no word.  It is so frustrating.  My son wants to join,…
