For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son left on the 24th for boot camp. Today I got a call from him and he is in the hospital. It sounds like he may have had complications from the shots. I was told that he would be in the hospital at least a couple more days. What will happen to him?

Just printed our gate pass for graduation on 10/12... OMG it is almost here. I am more anxious now than in the first few weeks that he was gone. I can not wait to get the I'm a Sailor call :)

Soon we will be heading downtown to have one more dinner out with our son. Tomorrow will be the final swearing in then leaving to Great Lakes. It has been such an abstract idea for a long time and now it is down to hours. I have been on this website for his whole DEP time and have learned a lot but now it is my turn to :

Kiana has been gone since August 21st and everyday has been a struggle. While some are good and no crying is involved others break my heart and out of left field I start to weep. The Box was awful...I at least knew she was okay but no word written or spoken. Then came the first heartbreaking letter. I still read it now on Oct. 2nd when she graduates in seventeen days. Our whole family is having to adjust to him not being home. The second day he was gone I was at work and I wanted to cry because I could not text him or have him call me when he was on his way home.
