She really is Going!

My smart, beautiful daughter leaves for boot camp and her new journey one week from now.  I am beyond proud of her, but I have so many emotions going on in my heart and mind.  I know she will do wonderfully, but I will miss her so much.  I don't want to be selfish, but as the time gets closer I feel lost.  I would never show my daughter how I am feeling,  I am trying to be upbeat an positive.  I don't want to give her anything to worry about. , I know she has a lot of her one emotions going…

Questions for the recruiter????

Greetings Moms~

My 17 year old son has decided that he would like to join the Navy. My husband was Navy and is fine with this. I am too but are there questions that should be asked of the recruiter that are not the obvious ones. I'm not sure what to ask to get all the info I need. I'm not even sure I know what that is. Any suggestions?

Thanks

"For all to cherish"

Birth of a Sailor

A young man or woman grows up and heads out their

senior year thinking thoughts of the future

and knows not what to think for the thoughts

and distractions of the world around them

occupy their thoughts for the moment..the thoughts

of cheerleading practice or a basketball game,

when one day they don a cap of graduation and their

future has arrived and no decisions are firm.

To many a person has down this road travelled …

I kind of over did it so I have a lot to ship.. but I know my son will share with those who are without. Any shipping tips with how to keep things from leaking or smashing?

MY RECRUIT (SON) CALLED AND SAID HE MAY NOT GRADUATE WITH HIS DIVISION 11/15/13

I am very heartbroken and upset for my son, he called last night and said that he had bad news, don't make plans to come to graduation on 11/15 unless he calls me back.  He couldn't let me know anything, but I am certain he has failed one of the test to advance him to Battlestations.  I have many friends and co-workers that are trying to comfort me, but I couldn't even go to work today and am working from home I am so worried.  I emailed RTC and asked them if he was hurt, they replied and…

Learning the ropes

My son has been in boot camp for 2.5 weeks now and today I was surprised with a phone call! I was so surprised I actually hung up on him! He called back and we talked for 20 priceless minutes. He told me how much he missed us and included his 4 brothers in that statement. He said a letter from his 8 year old brother moved him to tears. Which made me cry. He said mail call was the best part of the day.

If nothing else......write to these kids and let them know you are here for them. Even if… Continue
