Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

What exactly are you referring to? My Navy son is starting Nupoc school tomorrow . Career path right now is fast attach subs. He is in Charleston, SC. I guess maybe everyone in Nuclear Propulsion school goes there?
Is there a thread for this? Thanks.
If your son is starting Nuke school, you should join the Nuke Moms group (for both enlisted and officers). If your son is an officer, here another group for you to join, Moms of Officers. Please bear in mind that people who respond to you are just moms, like yourself who are here voluntarily to help others when they can. I have compiled a number of lists of groups (those associated with Naval ships, PIR dates and ratings). You'll find them by clicking on MAIN tab on the above menu bar and scrolling down just a bit. You'll see the title in the middle of the page.
Sincerely yours,
BQB
Hi Allyj31 - my son is also in 12/370. I can't wait to see him - it seems like it has been forever since he left! I'm trying to figure out where to book a hotel room now. We already have tickets, flying in on Tuesday and out on Saturday. Look forward to meeting you!
