Good Evening Ladies, I am from Phoenix, AZ born and raised and have a Sailor in A School in Great Lakes just recently Graduated on Sept. 1st. This is my first time on Arizona Moms. My son is going to school to become a Electricians Mate (EM).

chellebelle3, there are several of us that meet once a month on a Sunday evening. While it is hot we meet in the backroom at Panera at ValVista and Baseline. We are meeting this coming Sunday! Hope you can make it! This invitation extends to any Navy Mom. (most of the moms are in the east valley because it is located fairly well for most, right off the 60 makes it nice!)

To clarify...

Please read my earliest post and then follow up with the one that starts out "THE RIPPLE EFFECT".

Thanks!!

The Ripple Effect, the organization I now serve with, is committed to the Veterans and their families in our community and we are doing amazing things in the areas of education, collaboration and personally assisting Vets who are and have been in crisis situations.  I will be creating a Booster T-Shirt campaign to assist in fundraising for our organization and the t-shirt will be the shirt I would like all Team Members to wear during the event.  Each shirt will be $20.  If anyone is unable to afford the cost, I am more than willing to assist them.  We will be walking in honor of Joel Alan McNeil.  He was an Army combat Veteran of OIF and OEF and was the son of our Founder Wendy Shackley.  He committed suicide in January of 2014.

Below is a link for anyone who wants to join our team.  They can sign up as part of The Ripple Effect AZ team and we will be able to keep organized who is part of the roster.  This event is ultimately a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and of course anyone is welcome to donate to them, but personally I would rather people donate to The Ripple Effect or any local Veteran's organization that is making a difference in our community.

I am excited to have a large team walking in support of our Veterans.  It is important for us to have a big presence at this event.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns or any issues with the link below.  As soon as I have the Booster T-Shirt campaign up and running I will send you that link as well. Thank you again!

Ok AZ Moms.... There is an opportunity for anyone intersted in bringing attention to the crisis of Veteran Suicide. See my next post with info regarding this event.  Andrew Jones, (Ret. Marine Corp) has an organization that will be walking in the annual "Out of Darkness" walk. I am hoping ot have Navy Moms show a presence at this important walk.  If you are able to attend please follow instructions in the next post.
