Oh, my God, Barb!  That was wonderful!  Absolutely loved it - I watched it twice.  That is one of my all-time favorite marches.  Thanks so much.

Hey ladies...I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to make mac & cheese OR barbeque beef. Have to see if I can find some good sales on enough beef! Will let you all know for sure in a day or two...time to go shopping! I do make a good mac&cheese too...so don't worry!

Jane - Eric will be stationed on Coronado Island (shore duty) for the next 2 years and plans on getting an apartment!  San Diego vacations here I come!  He will be stationed with a helicopter unit regarding ordnance.  While he is there, he plans on attending college, too.

And thanks, Marcy, I'm excited to have Eric come, too.  I told him how everyone is looking forward to meeting some of the sailors who will be attending, and he said, "Well, guess I can't back out now, huh?"

I swear I posted last night, could I have been to tired to hit "Add comment"?  Geez :)    I'm loving the potluck contributions, all my favorites!!  You guys are too much.  How exciting that we have actual sailors coming, too!!  Happy moms all around. I've got some great name tags going, so be sure and email a photo of your sailor, his name & rank and where he's stationed (plus your real name of course!).  My email: marcy@marcyscott.com

Gary & I are planning on coming.  We will bring some type of dessert.
Comment by Anita on July 15, 2011 at 12:50am

Oh, and I'll bring a 12-pack of buns, too.

Well, Jane, I'll have to look for both you and Becky, and Andy.  Have you any idea how long Andy is in town?  Does he have to go back to Bahrain?  Eric's just thilled he doesn't have to go back to the Reagan - he's had enough of cruises.
Comment by Anita on July 15, 2011 at 12:35am

If it means much, I vote bar-b-q, too.  Love it!  I can bring a pack of buns, also, if need be.

I'll have to meet up with Becky - Eric flew from Bahrain, also, but he had been on the Reagan.  He was flown from the ship to Bahrain, where he was on stand-by for a flight.  Eric had three words for Bahrain - hot, hot, hot!
