Welcome, Joshiesmom! Nice bunch of ladies on this sight. My son has been in the Navy over 5 1/2 years - lots of stuff the ladies talk about I don't remember. I didn't know about this site when Eric went in. Lots to learn! Welcome again!
Dillons Mom.... Hang tough mama!! He will probably have indoc when he arrives and shore duty till his ship returns.
Joshiesmom... I just sent you a friend request. I am in Maricopa too. My son went to boot camp last Nov. He is now stationed in Japan )):
~Tracy
Cindy...sending you lots of hugz...and wishing Dillon all the best. I envision him arriving in Hawaii and meeting up with the right person who will set his mind at ease and direct him accordingly. Before he knows it he will be with his new shipmates and moving ahead as one of our finest sailors!
Hang in their MaMa.
JoJo...here's what the Chief replied:
Undes go to a short school and than get sent out to the fleet. It is normal for them to go to ships, has she joined the undes group on here?
Well...there you go JoJo. And I guess there's an undes group you can join and maybe get other undes Mom's experiences.
(((Hugz)))
JoJo...I'm going to ask your question on one of the other forums I am on since they have a Chief at GL who is always willing to answer questions.
I'm thinking, however, that Dustin's situation is just a little different because he was undesignated, and was not going to be attending an A and C school for a particular rate/job. He's just going out sooner than some of the other sailors who have to attend school for longer periods of time depending on their rate/job.
But I'll see what I can find out for you, okay?
JoJo..I'm super happy that you can relax a bit now! Whew!
Wishing Dustin much success!
(((Hugz)))
Thanks Jane, Kathy, and JoJo!
I'm looking forward to being of service.
Jane, I'm replacing Bunny, but I'm not sure if she will hold a different position or not. I really don't know any of the ladies there very well...yet!
