Jane - I love dark chocolate!  I'm sure I will find your cake delicious!  Hope there is some left by the time I get to it.

In regard to the raffle, how much will it be, and what do the proceeds benefit?  I was unaware there would be a raffle until I saw what Marcy had written about the proceeds.

Also, Marcy, do you have any idea how many people will be in uniform?  My son was just wondering.  Thanks.

Debbie we have lots, so don't stress over it!  :)

Jane, yum, nothing wrong with chocolate for breakfast, good with coffee LOL

As Columbo used to say..."Oh one more thing" LOL

The Phoenix Suns have donated a jersey autographed by NBA star Shaun Marion as a raffle item for our event!

Oh so sorry to hear about her mom, Kathy.  We will surely miss you, but the next get-together for sure has to have you there!!  The one you put together in Tempe at the Windy City Cafe was so much fun :)

See you tomorrow Anita!

Wish we could be there a little earlier (we'll see), but my son will be coming from San Tan Valley (he and his little boy have been staying with my daughter), and Eric is planning on getting ready here.  His uniform is all set and ready to go.

See everyone tomorrow.  Have a good night.

We're going to have such a good, relaxed time meeting each other, having fantastic food and hearing Admiral Sanders - we've now spoken a few times, and he's so interesting and pleasant.  Going to be fun!

Thanks for all the info, Marcy.  Hopefully we can leave the house at 4:30 - should take only about 10 to 15 minutes for us to get there.  So looking forward to meeting every one.  Can't wait!

Thanks Marcy! I'll be there between 4 - 4:30. Save a spot for another crockpot!

Good night ladies. Time to go snuggle with the hubby and the 4-legged kids on the loveseat!

Nope, no set agenda.  Food should be set out by 5 -5:30. We're setting up "buffet style" between 3 and 5 pm.  The invitation says the event is from 5 - 8, so I imagine folks will be arriving, serving themselves, mingling.

We have four tables of 10 and several long tables, and a mix of chairs. The admiral is to call me just before he arrives at the store, so I'll mention that he's about to arrive and escort him in.  I don't know exactly when he'll be arriving.  He's being driven/accompanied by a Captain, and he knows we're starting at about 5 pm but since they're coming from the game, who knows for sure when they'll arrive - could be 5 pm on the nose, could be later.

As for when Admiral Sanders speaks, we'll play it by ear - he may want to visit with his mom, eat first, we'll see!  He is going to speak from the podium first, then move around "Phil Donahue style" (his words, lol) and take questions.
