Thanks, Angie. I guess she will be suggesting I swap my laptop for her desktop. Hah! We will have to discuss this more.

I'm not sure which A school she will attend. The connection was poor yesterday and she said they switched her. When she signed up, she wanted Media because she had been in technical theater in college, specializing in sound. That was not available so they suggested something with circuitry but now she says she has been changed out of that. Guess I'll find out more as she goes along. Sometimes she can be vague. Anyone else have a problem with that? Dori

Hi, I'm Dori and I am a Navy grandmother (as well as a former Navy brat, Navy sister and Navy aunt). My granddaughter, Victoria, will have her PIR tomorrow and yesterday I learned that she will be staying in GL for A achool.

Yesterday's connection was not very good so I can't wait until tomorrow when she can get on a better phone line to fill me in.

I have a couple of questions. She is anxious to get her computer sent to her; however, it is a desktop iMac. As I understand it, her storage will be limited. Will she be able to have this? I briefly, very briefly, considered givng her a MacBook as a graduation present but ...

Second question: Based on some of the postings I have read, it seems that some of the sailors move from ship to ship while at A school. Is this typical?

A big HELLO to everyone from SoCal....Hope you all had a marvelous weekend. I had my whole family together yesterday except for my sailor grandson and his older brother.
Theresa...you aren't DUMB....just computer challenged!!! lol lol lol Hey, girlfriend, I will most likely be driving back home tomorrow, Wednesday, and next time we chat on the land lines, I will walk you through the procedure to get the graphics....
WELCOME to all our newest members that have signed on since I have been on the road. We are happy to have you in our extended family.
Everyone, have a great evening. I am on my way to school tonight to watch my granddaughter, Kendra, get an award for being on the Principal's Honor Roll. She is the one that made that fabulous video for her brother, Michael.
Goodnight all......
