I think that's the beauty of Wichita...never thought to go there either.  If we go there next year and decide we don't like it then we can (while we are together) get out a map and decide right there and then where the next one will be.  Besides, I really don't care where we go just so we are all together and having a blast.

Kim---i have never been to Wichita...nor have i EVER thought about going there...lol ANYWHERE sounds good. Sorry i havent had any input ..ive been so busy. I have today OFF!!!! And am cleaning my house from top to bottom. now that we got rid of some things..i feel like organizing. Its a beautiful day here in western PA, and i have the screen doors open, the air is flowing, all i need to do now is turn on the radio and get some music playing...

Angela--OMG!! your trip sounds like a Chevy Chase movie...LOL!!!  Cant ANYTHING ever go SMOOTHLY??!! At least you can laugh about it now..:)) Im so glad youre back safe and sound. Hope you feel better. I was blaming janie for starting the virus while you were gone..haha!

Barb--So happy/sad for you at the same time...Its so good to spend time with them, but the days go by so fast. Why do the days in between seem to go so slowly??

Janie and terry---i informed my car-winning friend about the tax warnings, and she said she was already informed its going to be a bout seven grand!!! Plus, they are charging her $4,200.00 just to take it off the lot (????). She also had to take two days off of work to tend to all of this...so its really not worth it i guess. Not to mention the GAS!!!

Janie---is there ANYTHING you DONT do??!...lol

I am SO happy for Roanna..i hope she posts pics..ENJOY!!!

Well im off to do more ORGANIZING in my nice, big, open, clutter-free home!!!

Angie you make me laugh with your trip story. That is sooooo funny that you were worried about the license plate! And a girl after my own heart, THREE pairs of shoes! BOOYAH! I love a good sale on clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc...Heck forget even a sale, I just love the stuff period! lol

Well at least your trip wasn't boring. But remind me never to be on the same flight as you, ever! lol

Glad you got to see your family and the grads. That made it all worth it.

Yes I am probably the last to see my sailor, but it will all be worth it. My eyes will be red and puffy the entire time she's home! (from crying of joy of seeing her come home then having to let go again) But that glorious day will be here soon.

Roanna has Spencer home as of last night. If you remember Melanie (CJ's mom) she has CJ home last night as well. CJ is officially a Corpsman. She doesn't come back on this sight much anymore but I keep in touch on fb with her. It's so nice to see our kids doing well.

Angie get some rest, I pray you'll be well again. Gee did I send it to you through mental telepathy? Get meds like I did and it will knock it right out of ya.

Later ladies, I must go out and clean the pool, paint the outside of the house and right now I'm headed out to buy my son a new trampoline. His finally gave out and we took it apart and now with the nice weather he is going through withdraw. lol

LATER!

(as in caddylac LOL) I heard this crackkkkkkkk, I jumped out to see & the crack was from my "NAVY MOM" tag on the front of my Surburban!! I had that tag MADE...it cracked the protective clear plate over it thankfully & not the actual tag..my Daddy & Lo-Lo was in shock b/c I was about to CRY over my tag and my Dad said, "You just hit @ least a $40,000 car and you're worried about "your NAVY MOM TAG"?? Kelly~~ my heart breaks for you as a MOM to have to deliver that news to anyone!! My hubby being a Pastor, we are involved with death alot too....a little tip when I get upset, if you press your tongue to the back of your teeth it helps you not cry....you may end up with a headache, but, you don't look like a bubbulering? fool......

Barb~~you did a good description of your saying goodbye to your son...it brought on my waterworks. Glad you got to spend time with him.

Come on girls!  Janie is the only one that responded to my request for information on what time of year is good for all of you for our "reunion".  Please let me know opinions so it can be a weekend trip that we can all enjoy.

Barb WELCOME HOME! We couldn't wait to hear from you.I think just hanging out together is the best, you needed each others company. I am so happy for you and I feel for your sad feelings at the same time. At least he's not too far away from you. I hope you made a safe trip and didn't have to ride on the wrecker again. lol

Kim , yes fall, winter or spring is best for me but I'm not sure about the rest of the girls. It would be great to travel together, traveling alone stinks.

Jan it sounds like all is finally coming together. Great for you! Cleaning out the house and cleaning out the hotel. One down and the other will go, she won't have her sidekick to fool around with. I hope you were the one to interview and hire the new guest room attendant. The old one going to the room could've really placed herself in harm! Also a huge liability for the owners if something wrong would've happened.  So BOSS you are doing well !

As for Jess she is due home June 14th so far. I have to keep it a secret from facebook due to the fact that we are going to show up at her old high school for her girlfriends graduation and she wants to show up in her dress whites. So her and I are planning a big SURPRISE!  I guess I'm the last to receive my sailor and then she will be so far away in Washington State! Thats my luck. Guess I'll just have to plan a vacation out there. One of my friends I graduated with lives seven miles from the base. She tells me despite what everyone says they have beautiful weather a lot.  When she does come home we will be sitting in front of the computer so I can introduce her to all her NAVY MOMS! I will be showing her everyones facebook pic so she knows who I am talking about all the time. She already knows your sailors.

Jan as for your friends winning the car, tell her to put tax money aside. That car will be added as income to their income tax, however you can request from the each casino you play at, a win/loss statement at the end of the year to use for tax purposes. As long as you play with a players card it will track all the money you play. Good thing for Pa. & NJ residents, we have no cap on the amount of losses you can claim. NY residents have a cap so anything over that they pay through the nose!

The casino out your way called Rivers is owned by the same company my husband works for in Phila.

Well girls I am tired so I will close for now. Hope all is well with each of you and your families. Until I check in tomorrow, GOODNIGHT!

Hi everyone!! I'm back!!! I had a great weekend with my sailor!! He didn't want to go to any museums, just hangout. So we went to the movies a few times and ate out lots. We drove around a couple of the bases. It was really nice. I stayed as long as I could on Sunday. Hugging him and saying "See Ya" was more than hard!! Watching him walk away really choked me up!! I did take some pics, but he's not much on having pictures taken. I wish you all could have seen me trying to sneak pics with my phone!! lol My eyes are still wet... :( I miss my sailor son. I'm so proud of him!!I'm so proud of all our sailors!! I wanted to hug each and every one of them, but Bran wouldn't have liked that. He's easily and that would have embarrassed him. So I told him that I was giving them all mental hugs. jejeje

Janie~~Funny that you said I should be a planner...my Mom use to say that all the time.  She said I would be good at planning weddings or something.  AND YES!  We can travel together and be roomies.  Would fall work for you?

Our auction was so-so..we had about 40/50 people here. I wanted to take pics to post them, but it went by so quickly. it was a blurr.. Everything went, but not for as much as i would have liked. What was nice was that when they al got up to leave...they took everything with them...haha! I got rid of SO much stuff. We had WAY to much patio furniture, and now it is so clean and organized out back..OMG, i feel FREE!! Crazy how too much STUFF can cause anxiety. So to sum it all up...we got rid of a lot, and made a little bit of money at the same time.

The job is getting better. I feel like i am in the groove now, and totally understand my job description. I am the BOSS...lol i am to handle it and make sure the whole hotel is cleaned, i have full reign. They( the owners) dont want to be bothered with it, so thats where i come in. as far as the 'witches'...one of them quit on Saturday. She texted me and said she had too much going on in her life right now. Shes 18...wait until shes 30 and see how much she got going on...actually, she has a steady BF but she was going into a room up there with one of the guys that is staying there from out of state (storm chaser), i confronted her about it, (i dont care, its none of my business who she dates, except she was in his room (all the time) while she was supposed to be working), this was becoming a problem but somehow her BF found out (i think he read some of her texts to this guy), so she quit. Thank GOD...it made my job a lot easier, so im training someone new tomorrow.  Yayyyy! Now im just waiting (and hoping) that her little friend is right behind her, and i can start over again with a whole new crew. Ahhhh, life is good!

Im so glad to hear that everyone is getting to see their sailors. NOW...JANIE....when is this going to happen for YOU??!! I think the road trip we are planning should be up to GL's to see Jessica..im so anxious for the day you say that she is coming home. Its going to be a happy, happy day for ALL of us. We know how anxious you are to see her. Hopefully its SOON!!!

i wanted to tell you that a good friend of mine went to the Casino here in Pittsburgh (its new, we just legalized gambling), and she was given a key to a car. When it was her turn to try her key...it worked!!!! She one a brand new Cadillac Crossover (i think thats the name)!!!! She is SO happy. She went today to sign and pick out the color she wanted. I think i might make a trip to AC soon. its been over a year since we were there. we used to go once a month or so. I will def give you a heads up..!!!

Well...going to clean my house. will check back in later..BYE!!!
