For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

TNM - Big hugs to you as you continue life without both parents. Never an easy thing to do. We hit 10 years this month since my Dad passed away and 15 months before he left us my Mom had passed away. I still wish I could pick up the phone and call just one more time. So glad your son was able to be there for you during such a difficult time.
I have seen first hand what my son went through on the blue side versus the green side. I will continue to keep all of your FMF Corpsman in my thoughts and prayers but I can't wait for him to get back to blue. There is another whole side to the Navy that I hope one day your sons and daughters will get to experience. You are right, the blue side Moms will have a hard time understanding the green side. I am thankful for all of the Marine's that my son had the honor of working with for I am sure he made some lifelong friends. He is now on "short" time with his unit and will be leaving soon. I can't wait to have him closer to us for the first time in nearly 6 years. If I see him more than once every year and half, I will be one happy Mom!

Your post just tore my heart, I know that fear of a being a mom of an FMF Doc....they are basically Marines. I know my son and his corpsman buddies feel more Marine than Navy. I will write more in a bit, on my way to work, I just wanted to send you some love and my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your father. I am so relieved that your son could be there with you this October to go through this tough, tough time. Thinking of you, and sending all the good thoughts and prayers I can for today to lift a little off of your heart.
