For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

TDM...That's is so adorable. It's the simple ideas that matter the most & get their attention to make their days!!! Love it!!!
Just heard from our son yesterday. Just a few private messages with few words, but the "I Love You's & Miss You's go a long way for a while. Sure soothes the "Motherly" soul of knowing he was safe for that moment in time.

Okay, another boring story from me...when my son was deployed, I used to post youtubes of the House Concerts we hold in our backyard so he could see them. Mainly he enjoyed looking at the yard, and watching the birds fly around George's head in this one....but when I posted this one, when he came home he told me he was watching it a "media" center full of computers and all of a sudden he heard "play it again, we got a guy just like that mechanic in our town, too!"...so those Marines and corpsmen sat in Iraq around a computer and listened to my friend George Ensle pick this song about a shade tree mechanic. A little bit of home...and green grass and trees and birds...

It sound so trite and I always hate saying it, but truly...Pam, no news is good news. If there was anything wrong, you would already know. He's busy, focused and doing what he needs to do to stay safe and keep his fellow warriors safe. No news is good news to a military family. Hang in there, they will have them on the phones as soon as they get to a spot to do so...you are not alone, prayers for you and your son and his unit. Everyday.

Glad you got a call nicskmom. I'm getting that anxious feeling in my gut since it's been awhile since we heard from our son. Trying to keep busy and not dwell on it. He warned me he was going to be out of contact a little longer this time. Ugh...

Nicksmom...we have the same issue with the very "Social FB". But I can still "privately" message him with little notes & pictures that he enjoys a lot when he gets a chance to view them.

My son was blue side for two 1/2 years before being attached to his current unit. I know that a lot of our boys and girls go right to the green side, but I am so grateful he was able to see both sides of being a Corpsman. Looking forward to our trip to see him soon. He loves what he does whether he's blue or green and that makes me happy.

Italy, wow, I wish..... anyway, saw a pic on FB.... not sure it was supposed to be there.... a slew of folks (his friends) commented on it but I did not. He has even changed his name.... as he was supposed to. Anyway, kinda makes me mad I can not even comment on my own sons alias FB frigging page but, whatever.
