im so happy who got mail! no mail here but im praying tomorrow :) im going CRAZY!!!! aghhh lol i wanna see my man!
Patrick's Mom, Proud Mom...that's great! ...and anybody else that got mail today!
Patrick'sMom: Awww.....thanks....but my son is already a sailor (PIRed in Feb 2010) so we are in phone/email contact! I'm just a N4Moms veteran on here to help! So glad that letters came in today for some of you!
ProudMom: Just a reminder that SARGE has a MeetNGreet too....his is from 5-10 and isn't too far away from the Ramada. You may want to stop in at his after the Ramada's. Not sure where most people will be, but he is full of info and has a guest speaker from the base (I think!) at his. Info on both MeetNGreets is in the links at the top of this page.
Yay! Just got a letter from my son! A true answer to prayer today, as I was going nuts not hearing anything!!! Very newsy letter written over several days. Said Marline Spike was AWESOME! Here's an excerpt that made me laugh: "The Petty Officer in charge of our group was very cool. I won't go into detail about why I thought he was cool because you wouldn't approve, but let's just say he let us have a lot of fun."
It was soooooooooo good to hear from him, and certainly made my day! I just got off the phone with his Dad and read the letter to him. Hopefully when he gets home tonight he'll have one too. We share our letters, so a phone call later with more news would be GREAT!!!
Hope other Mom's have letters today too!!! They sure help to get us through, don't they?!
OHHH! Good I really need a letter fix. I hope there is one waiting on me when I get home!!! Mrs. David's mom you have given me hope again.
I recieved a letter today dated the 27th. Not too much info, just a lot of questions for us. But he, too is counting down the day's!
I booked with Springhill suites there are 5 of us coming and they had 2 queen bed with a sleeper sofa so that should be enough sleeping space...lol!
I am PRAYING for a letter in my mailbox today. No communication from my son since our Christmas Eve Day phone call, and it's killing me!!! Waiting not so patiently to hear my mail carrier's truck! I'm with ya ProudofGar! Cannot WAIT to see my son! What a blessed day 1/27 will be! Where are you staying? We're staying at The Ramada.
Dianne - Hope you get a letter today too!!!
Good morning I finally got around to making our hotel reservations today! YAY! I can't wait to see my SR!
