Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". I went on my facebook page and my SR's facebook page and posted that I was sending out a Christmas card and if anyone wanted to post a message I would print it out and put it in the envelope. I thought it would be fun for my SR to get all these random messages.

For the next batch of letters (and I hope they write again!), make sure they know they are writing to future SAILORS...not that we don't love our SOLDIERS because we certainly do! Love em all and are celebrating the troops coming home as the Iraq War ends! HOOYAH!

I am prior US Navy myself and have no problems sharing, lol. I just thought someone else might be in the same boat (I mean ship, don't tell).

Comment by ProudOfGar on December 17, 2011 at 6:48pm: WOW!!! I had stopped by my stepsons house lastnight and got to peek at the cards. They have got to be the cutest thing I have ever seen! They are just small store bought christmas cards they were all sealed up and on the outside of the envelope some of the kids drew pictures and colored on them they each were addressed to "To: Mr. Soldier" "From: child's name" There was one that didn't get sealed and I had to look....my heart melted, I don't remember exactly but it was in a 2nd graders words telling them thank you for keeping their loved ones safe and hoped they had a good Christmas! They were amazing I only wish I had gotten on this sooner so I could have gotten all 70-80 of them one!
