Aliecat:  I just messaged you the possible date.

Comment by diannep on January 8, 2015 at 9:11am

Aliecat:  I would suggest your change your hotel reservation, just in case.  I hate to take business from Navy Lodge, because I don't think the no visits happens all of the time....we can't seem to get a definite answer on that.  But personally, I wouldn't take a chance if I had a sailor staying in GL for A School.  There are nice civilian hotels in the area that won't be a problem.  Check out Courtyard, Springhill Suites, Residence Inn, Holiday Inn Express, all close to Sarge's MeetandGreet held the night before PIR night and close to Walmart, restaurants.  About 4-5 miles from RTC and A School, so not far.  Call these hotels directly and ask for the Navy Graduation rate.  They hold some rooms at this rate.  They are all located in the Waukegan/Gurnee area.

Good Morning!

Aliecat64 - Send diannep a message asking her again. She will also be back on bright and early most likely and see your post here.

As far as Navy Lodge. We have seen new Sailors that are attached to TSC GL Command for A school not being permitted chits to go into the Navy Lodge. It has been a random thing, so while we do not like to turnfolks away from there it might be better for those who have Sailors attached to GL to stay at another hotel. Spring hill Suites and Marriott seem to be good ones from what I read.

Sailors that are NOT going to GL for A school do not need a chit to enter the Navy Lodge as far as we know. These Sailors are still attached to RTC command and so the rules are a bit different.

Allensmom, NavyFriend, and BCmom7,

Please friend request diannep and she will give you the info on a private message~~

Click on her name, go to her page, Add as Friend, and include the division you are looking for a date for.  She will respond with the info in a message, which you need to read first before you accept her response.

If she beats you to it and sends you a Friend Request-- see Friends (1) up under your name, please read her message first with the info because the info will disappear once you accept her Friend Request~~  Hope I got this covered for all of you!
