Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Saturday Morning to you all :)
jennaluvsherfrenchy - my son is in ship 14 div 093 and I am in contact with others that are also. I will send you a message to your inbox. :)
http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/ship-14-uss-arizona-divisio...
jennlusherfrenchy: Click on the link above and it will take you to your discussion group up top. You will get to meet the ladies there who have SRs with yours. Please remember that we cannot post SRs' last names on this site (nor on FB). But you can ask if any are from a particular city because your SR has a shipmate friend from there and see if that SR's family member is on here by private message.
britefuture: Awwww....we hear that alot on this site. Just the sound of a person's voice or reading those sweet words can cause the tears...but it means the world to them, as you know!
dina: Congrats on the REAL phone call! YAH!
Good Morning All!
ship 13/div 096...where can i buy a coin for my SR's PIR? looked for the link but can't find it!
dina - Holy crapola, are you saying you got the coin already? I just mailed them this morning.
