~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I am so sad, no phone call today either and no letter. his letters usually come on Wednesday, hopefully tomorrow.
I love it when I'm right about letters lol :)
thank you diannep. PIR is getting closer!!
sailsetter: If your SR doesn't order one, here is the website for you to order yourself:
thank you diannep. Ill have to write my SR to let him know I want one!!
hark i hear the mail man...
YAY glad you got a letter K's Mom and I am happy the mother nature is treating them well!
I got a nice long letter today!!!!!!!!!!!! He also sent a separate envelope with a letter to his Mamaw, his little sister and his baby brother (they are 5 & 3)...His little brother listened to 2/3's of it and walked away - lol but his sister who is 5 hung on every word - she was so excited to get a letter from her brother! Praying everyone else gets letters today or at least in the next day or two! He is loving the weather and really likes when they get to actually be outside :D
Received a letter today. 14/97 All good news. Dated Jan 4. Did not mention anything about the comments that have been flying around facebook indicating that those divisions have had difficulty & extra PT. Said he is doing great. Says the weather has been great & no snow. Still can't get over that the others are actually cold. His nickname is Wisconsin. It has also come up that he is from Oshkosh, and others have started making " B'Gosh" comments. Only one letter, but he sounds wonderful.
sailsetter: Arwen is referring to the division tshirts that the SRs design themselves. They have a chance to order for families if they want.
I went and thought I would get a letter today but I got nothing. I am giving it until Friday though. Wishful thinking. Has anyone with a SR in ship 04 div 806 get letters today?
