Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am so happy for all you with 081 and 082. I have no idea when my son will do BS. He is 086. I have been telling him for 2 weeks in my letters to let me know and as usual, he has not done this. Last week he called he told me that he has about an inch of letters he has not had time to read yet so imagine my questions are somewhere in that stack, including my questionaire I sent him. I told him he will have reading material on the plane to Florida now.
I have been busy with work so I am not on here much these days. I am trying to get as many hours in as I can before I take off next week.
Looking forward to meeting you at the Meet and Greet. We have less than week now. SOOOOO excited, can't wait to hug his head off his shoulders. My husband is going to have to hold me back Thursday night with me knowing he is only a couple away miles from me.

I am so sorry I was MIA today. We went to Charlotte last night for admitted students day and spent the night with my brother. They have wireless but couldn't remember the security code lol so I could only get on with my dumb/smart phone Haha. We are back home now and I had 8 pages to catch up on in this group alone lol. I love seeing all the happy happy happy people with brand new Sailors in their lives :-) Yay, Bravo Zulu!!!
Diannep, you and your son are in my thoughts and prayers. I know whatever he decides to do he will do it better because of his experience as a US Sailor :-)

I haven't been on much today...today was my son's discharge date....sniff...so he is out of the Navy and driving to TX to be with his gf. Life changes...
