I guess no one has started getting phone calls yet?

When we were there two years ago.....that was about right.  It seems like my son had to be back earlier on Friday than Sat but still, I thought it was fairly early too.  Also, he was pretty insisitent that we be back on base even before that because he had to be IN the ship by 7 pm.....not just back to base.  You will have to drop them off in the parking lot and they will have to walk back to their ship so you need to allow them enough time to get back.

Comment by msanna71 on March 2, 2012 at 2:33pm

ok.... my daughter also mentioned that the day of liberty, she had to be back to the base by 1900 hrs...(7pm)... that sounds tooooo early, i was thinking it was more like 8 or 9pm. Has anybody else heard anything different?

Comment by msanna71 on March 2, 2012 at 2:27pm

ok... so my daughter is in Div 085..i guess we cant post on here when they are going thru BS21..  but she said i should expect "the call"  tuesday. I cant wait.... I already let my boss know that even though we are not allowed to use our cellphones at work... I WILL NOT MISS THIS CALL!  He said that was perfectly fine with it!!!

zStratMom - thank you for the reminder about what to ask when they call.  Sitting on the phone, just waiting for that call

Bahkmom - According to the list that I have, no - there are no BS scheduled for the weekend.

Comment by bahkmom09/86 on March 2, 2012 at 11:02am

For those that have the Battlestations info....are any units doing BS on the weekend ?  I know you can't post when Div are going through but if you would at least confirm/deny going through on the weekend.  I do know they are doing Captain's Cup on Sat.....

Comment by HannahKathryn17 on March 2, 2012 at 10:52am
That is what I am planning on doing. I sit or can sit relatively close to the door in all but one of my classes. I am just hoping to get it after I'm done and at home.

Goodmorning all! ***GET YOUR SAILOR's TRAVEL INFO!!!***

If you are beginning to get your "I'm a Sailor!" calls, an IMPORTANT question to ask for any sailor who is going to an A-School at a location other than Great Lakes is about their TRAVEL. Ask if they know their day of Travel, Carrier (American, Delta, Air Tran, etc.) and time of departure or Flight number!!! Some will have been given their orders. This will help with transfer of belongings!
