Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

MEJ, that would be me :-) I am the lady who makes the ribbons and scarves and lots of other thing lol. All you need to do to get more info is send me a friend request on this site or email me at: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you the info. Here is a link to my facebook page where you can see lots of pictures of the ribbons and other items I make. Can anyone send me the link for the lady who makes ribbons for us to wear at PIR? I believe that they have last name and division numbers. Any help in this area is very appreciated.

Hang in there everyone. We are learning patience and to let go. Its tough. Are SR's are growing to be the man, woman, husband and wife they want to be. I thought it was odd that I already received my form letter and a short note on the back. I think we all get a letter sent out this weekend after they had a week of PT. I am so grateful for all of you as we share this wonderful new chapter in life.

I feel the same as all of you. My bf has been gone since 1/9 and no letter yet! I was really really hoping for today!
