Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by AmyaodRN on January 25, 2012 at 4:01pm: I got my form letter on 01/21, my SR arrived at GL 01/10. They wouldn't be able to write a personal letter until the 2nd Sunday, at the earliest, then add snailmail time and well, it's a long wait!

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on January 25, 2012 at 2:03pm: All done. Please remember ladies that when you get the "kid in a box" make sure you check every single part of the box. Some SR's have been known to put notes in a pocket and other items have been found in shoes/socks.

Just a further explanation about the phone that wasn't returned in the box...they can get in big trouble for keeping phones, so I would like to see all the posts related to this SR's phone issue on here deleted (if you posted one, please just click on the "x" in your post box). The RDCs (their bosses) DO read this page...and he could get in serious trouble. N4Moms sure don't want to be the ones to get any SR in trouble. So please delete the posts that included the name of the person looking. Thanks!

I have not seen another SR mom on here with that division yet, and yes, I did get it from his recruiter. Thanks for getting back to me. Can't wait to have a firm PIR date!!! UGH!!!

Ladies who posted about the missing phone....I would delete your posts. Phone cannot be kept at RTC and I would hate for a particular SR to get in trouble through this site by the RDCs. So please delete your posts (click "x" in the box) that contain the N4Moms name of the person looking. Thanks!
