Hi everyone. My name is Tammy. Well today has really turned out to be an exciting day. I received my daughters PIR form in the mail. I have been getting all of her letters addressed so that I can take them to the post office. I wanted to let everyone know how exciting it was for me to see her handwriting. Now she is in for it because now I can write her more than she can keep up with. But hey, its what she asked for. lol
Proud of our Navy SEALS and the rescue they made last night! HOOYAH!
Good Morning ladies, I'm Betsy. I am also a "veteran" mom helping out too. My youngest son is getting ready to leave Pensacola for his first Orders to go to Bremerton, WA to be on the John C. Stennis, aircraft carrier. I also have a future son-in-law who is an ET stationed at Pearl Harbor on a submarine. I have been a member of Navy4Moms for almost 2 years now and it's been a wonderful support to me. Welcome to you all! Get ready for a wonderful ride and Navy adventure.
Diane, thanks for getting this group ready.
Chipsahoy, that is adorable about your daughter.
NavySoccerMom, hello and welcome.
Good morning. My son left on the 17th. We have not received his form letter yet, but I am assuming he will graduate on the 16th. He is Ship 09 Div 091. I love this site. It has been so helpful. Also the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on FaceBook has been great. I recommend joining both. They post pictures of graduations on that page as well. I look forward to meeting other mom's that are going through the same thing I am.
Good Morning. Dianne here...another N4Moms veteran to help out. Thanks for starting the group, Diana. Please ask any questions you like on here...there are several of us in the PIR groups and we will be glad to help!
Buckle your seatbelts for an emotional bootcamp journey that finishes in such a wonderful celebratory moment!
HI everyone, I am Lora, aka Lala. I am one of the moms who has chosen to stick around this site and help answer questions on the PIR group pages . I have 2 Sailors in the Navy, my daughter and her husband are based in VA Beach area. I also have an 18 yr old son who is planning to join this summer right after graduation. While at PIR we stayed at the Navy Lodge, drove there from NC and drove to the base for the ceremony. Both of our Sailors had A-school in Pensacola. My daughter is an AO and my SIL is an IT. If you have any questions at all just let me know. I am happy to help. It is great to see you all joining this page and getting to know each other :-)
Hi! Thank you so much for getting this started, I am looking forward to reading everything! Got my flight and room booked! Ship 04 DIV 807 My son is so happy to finally get there and get started on his adventure. I had a hard time before he left, but now that he is actually gone, it's easier. I love the count down clock!
Hello!
FireTeamLeaderWife here!
My Sailor PIR’d on 05/26/2011.
I am a “veteran” mom on the PIR groups mostly. I will check in here once in a while to see if I can answer any questions and lend some support. There will be a few other veteran moms along to lend a hand and support you all through your PIR experience. diannep, LaLa Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons, Betsy, momofPensacolasailor, JessicaB Sailormom and a few new Ladies!. We have a few others that help out when we have SPECOPS in the groups, sjtina to name one. Others drop in occasionally too…plus we are always looking for more to “join the ranks”. Things change in the military and we like to give out the most current info that we can so moms that have just gone through this help a lot.
I’ll also be loading up the Discussion Forum area with lots of info to help you along during your PIR experience. Please feel free to add your own discussions and start your divisional discussions.
Welcome!
Thank You DianeL for creating the group. It looks great!
