Good morning everyone, I am looking forward to reading the posts today from all of you who will receiving "I'm A Sailor" calls. Keep your phone very close and be sure an ask if everyone in their division passed. If everyone else gets a call and you do not Don't Panic, it probably just means that your Sailor had watch. Hopefully they will all get to call by the end of the day :-)

Ok, so we think that 089/090, 918/919 went through last night, although there was a post that 089/090 would be doing BattleStations "later."  So not sure.  Please have phones handy all day, but especially starting around 2 pm GL time which is usually when calls can start, but they can start later than that.  Ask if all in the division passed and post that info for those who may not receive their calls today due to "watch".

Hoping that the capping ceremony (trading of RECRUIT cap for NAVY cap...they are sailors!) is either going on right now or getting ready to start!  HOOYAH!

gonavymom:  Hmmmm....not sure about a FB group, but ask on the N4Moms Meridian group and they may know...or search on FB.  So glad you live so close and can visit!  I couldn't since we were too far away...but when he got out, my older son drove up to see relatives in AL and drove over to get him, and they drove home together.

My son loved A School, by the way.  A welcome relief from bootcamp and more like a college environment...military-style!

Congrats 1ProudMama!  And thanks for posting here!  Paying it forward is such a great thing to do!

Hey guys my daughter just graduated on Friday and we just got back from Chicago this morning. Sarge is AMAZING! He also knows a lot about the base and our sailors. She said that next week there is going to be a lock down on the base. For training.. He also told us on thursday that our sailors were going to have a pizza party that night. Which they did! The chiefs/ petty officers all pitched in and gave them a party. I strongly suggest u use Sarge or go to his meet and greet!

Good evening! It's last calls, last minute packing, and TRAVEL TO PIR week! Very soon you'll get to HUG your SAILOR. HOO-RAH!

All this time apart will have been worth it, you'll see :-). Take it all in, and grab every hour and minute you can. The next separation is A-school. Make sure to go look for N4M groups related to your Sailor's school and join them now. After PIR, this group will change to "Alumni of . . ."

If your Sailor is in one of the last Battlestations groups, be sure to ask about A-School travel knowledge on your “I'm a Sailor!” call. Any last minute questions?

What part, gonavymom?  My son went to Meridian.  Way back when... :-)  He flew out the day after PIR.  Be sure to join the Meridian A School group!
