Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by diannep on March 1, 2012 at 1:41pm: Robin, I see that your SR is in one of the higher numbered divisions. Chances are that the BattleStations night for that division will be closer to PIR. But no worries...keep your plans. Since you are driving up, you should be able to receive your call if it comes in that day. It could actually even come in the next day. This is a LARGE PIR group so they probably will do BattleStations over 4 nights. Remember, most all pass BattleStations...they are well prepared for this!

Everyone, please friend request/private message me BattleStations dates are you receive them. We cannot post the dates on the board or in the discussion groups, but we can private message them. I will start a schedule and send it out when finished.

Comment by mom2kandq on March 1, 2012 at 11:26am: Robin remember, "no news is good news." I think the SRs who do NOT pass BS21 have to call and tell their attendees that just the same as those who place the "I'm a Sailor" call.

Comment by Robin on March 1, 2012 at 10:18am: Good Morning!!!! 15 MORE DAYS!!!!! OMG..... 15!!!!! Hey, question. :) This division is soooo large... so when they have BS.....I see on the FB forums, that some SR will call the tuesday or monday before PIR... but, I also see they call on that wednesday. We are driving up that morning at 6am. What if we don't get that call, and we are on are way? What happens with the reservations? Thanks everyone... just nervous! :) I have faith that everything will be fine though!

So if my theory is right your package should arrive by tomorrow lol.

Comment by diannep on February 29, 2012 at 12:20pm: Very sad to see our US Postal system in the condition it is now due to economic conditions, job cuts, etc. I just sent a check to a bank "priority mail" yesterday...has to be in UT (I'm in FL) within 10 days. I sure hope it gets there. I can't imagine life without the USPS, but it sure seems like things are heading that way...
