ear PIR group,

I’m sorry I was not on yesterday…I have been reading but been unable to post…had a “day” in the FireTeam household.

I have been having a horrible time with my allergies and so had a skin test in the morning…I only made it half way through…started coughing etc. and feeling funny. So they stopped and gave me a shot of…I don’t remember…and said we’ll finish next month.  Yip-pee.

Anyways…it wiped me out! Then I got a call from my DH and was told that our sons little dog had gone missing. It’s a long story but basically this is a dog with issues that will never go away (we did not have her for the first year of her life)…looked everywhere …family had appointments they had to still get done…life goes on…and I was so wiped and then upset that I finally just crashed. I didn’t have a car to continue the search anyways and history has shown that if we don’t find her in the first hour of being gone…she is not near us anymore. Of course night comes and now I am just plain worried and trying not to “picture” things in my mind.

I know it is “just a dog”...but prayers and good thoughts would sure help.

I got letters today! I love letter day! I had to work a ball game tonight and just took the letters with me. My favorite coach kept saying...dont you dare cry! LOL

I love that my coaches are so supportive...and BTW, I was not going to cry!

Well, my post came late...I put that on here this AM before work. Lol.

I just got home and read the post. I agree to a certain extent about the janitor and the necklace. I too work in a school and am actually in charge of lost and found. If our janitors wore something they found they could be fired for that. Kids dont think to look on an adults neck or finger for something they lost because they ecxpect the adults to do the right thing! Yes, he might have been doing the right thing and I am willing to look at that. My daughter and I even talked about that and her response...mom, if I wore a necklace hoping someone would see it and claim it they would say I stole it and I would get in trouble! She is correct!

I did tell both my kids if they saw it on another kid (before found) do not say a word to them because that is basically saying they stole it!  I told them to let me know and I would take care of it. So, I am blessed that she felt comfortable saying something to the adult and yes, she did thank him! I am also blessed because now her brother will let her live!

I love all the support here! I think this site has become mine! I know I will continue to come here even after my SR graduates! This site first helps you and then makes you want to pass it on! Isnt that how life should be for everyone???? Take what you have and share it? This has been a blessing for me and I know what to do with those in order to keep them. Give it away!

Totally makes sense to me, sara suzannah and calililnia!  Hadn't looked at it that way.  And had wondered about the security of the Lost and Founds these days.  I know at our gym, if you leave something behind, just forget it.  Their Lost and Found is a joke!

Thanks for shedding a positive and respectful light on this man who found the necklace!

You have a very good point sara, it is always good to look at things from a different point of view. Thanks so much for sharing that :-)

Comment by Diana Ross on February 24, 2012 at 10:33am

Ladies, I respectfully disagree.  The janitor may know if he turns something into the lost & found anyone can claim that necklace.  He may know in that particular school lost & found items not treated carefully, or given away carelessly (like not requiring a description of the item, or staff taking things home).  Sorry but I have some experience working in schools, and it isn't always honest or minimally careful behind the scenes.  If the janitor wanted to steal the necklace he likely wouldn't have worn it openly at school.  Instead of degrading the janitor's actions we might be thanking the Lord that he put the janitor in just the right place at the right time to be seen by A's daughter.
