Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I have a question for you....On other post I read that they can have a few civilian clothes and thier cells at A school....is that really true?? I had already planned on taking him some of his favs for the hotel only but not sure if they can really keep them.

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on February 18, 2012 at 8:15pm: I have had some that are too large (thanks for mentioning it dianep...I forgot!). It tells me if it is too small too but I always get a message telling me so and there is an "OK" button.

So you are able to adjust it but it doesn't give you the Save and Cancel buttons...hmmmm...could be your browser...could you try another browser?

Let me ask BQB...I have had this happen before but the mom fixed it and never told me how...or if it just decided to work!

I do know it will only load GIF, JPG and PNG's.

Has to do with the file letters attached to the pik...jpg or something??? FTLW is so much more savy than I am about computer "stuff." :-) If anyone can help you get this done, she can! :-)

Comment by A` on February 18, 2012 at 7:07pm: Well I tried all that and where I get stuck (and this have never happened on any other thing) is the upload. Once I click upload the page I guess gets stuck. It has the pic and a preview pic and then you adjust it but there is no way for me to get out! No ok button no save button no nothing! In order to get off of there I have to click out or go back :(
