Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by vickie-SailorMom on February 9, 2012 at 11:14pm: Getting a call from my SR tonight was the BEST!!! Except for him being sick (like most of the division) he sounded good. The only complaint was about the few who weren't taking things seriously enough and getting the whole division in trouble and having to do IT..... So very proud of my son and wish all of them the very best during this BC training!!

The funny thing is that my son used to be one of the goof offs and now he is complaining because others are goofing around!

Comment by DeeDee (ship 03 div 089) on February 9, 2012 at 10:17pm: I got a phone call today as well!!! It was such a good feeling to hear his voice and know that he is actually ok. He seems to be pretty happy with the way things are going and his only complaint was that some of the people in his division are not serious enough. This phone call was really made my day because things were not going well and now things have completely turned around.

He sounded good.. ..the only complaint he had was that soe of his squad members are not serious.. and they keep getting trouble. he said that they earn one hour of phone calls but since the squad can seem to learn to March correctly.. The telephone time was cut in half... He's on ship 09 div 088

I became suspicious earlier because I was texting with his gf and then she did not respond for about 20 minutes. I suspect he used his call for her and told her not to tell me
