Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on February 9, 2012 at 4:17pm: I would ask her in your next letter why the return address is different from the one on the form letter and ask her which one you should use. Then you will know in a week or so which address works best and all the mail you have sent will make it's way to her :-)

He just said that he wanted one of the positions and that he was disappointed because he didn't get it for his division but then found out that his chief put him in for the entire ship. He was very excited

Comment by diannep on February 9, 2012 at 4:07pm: lala: RPOC leads the entire division and will be in front of the group carrying a sword. Sometimes during bootcamp, they will try out a few SRs in this position and decide who is best to keep it. Hope it is your son!

Micki: I wouldn't worry about the address. Use the one in the form letter...the Division Number is the important part. The 3505 address is actually connected to Ship 11 on the RTC page. 3600 is for Ship 3.

Comment by Micki (Yokosuka Japan~ USS GW) on February 9, 2012 at 3:42pm: Hi Pamship, I am still so confused b/c the RTC facebook page answered my question and he said that ship 03 is 3600 Ohio St but her letter had 3505 Sailor Dr. Now I am really unsure where to send them......Hopefully she got my letters and I will get an answer where to send the rest. I'm glad your SR got the letter...that does make me feel better :)

Comment by lala 4 on February 9, 2012 at 3:41pm: Yay! I got 2 letters today and my SR is doing great! He made something called RPOC of the entire ship! I am so proud of him. He seems to really be getting the hang of things and does not seem to be as homesick as I thought he would be. And he corrected the invitation list and I am now on the list lol
