Wow, thanks Diannep. I didn't realize how much there was to know about their uniforms. Very interesting. So for my E-3 going to power school is it always blue or white? Do they wear the peanut butters? Silly question but now you have my raised my curiousty.
Micki: The number of stripes are whether they are E-2 or E-3. No stripe for E-1. Two for E-2, 3 for E-3. The color of the stripes is determined by their rate (job). Red is firefighter. Green is for Airmen. Light Blue for Construction. Seamen wear the white stripes on blue uniform, navy stripes on white. Hospital/dental do too but have an added specialty mark.
I was just looking at the 1/27 PIR photos, and besides the goosebumps I got, I have a couple of questions.....What is the signifigance of the stripes on their sleeve as some have none, or 1, 2, 3 white ones, 1, 2 or 3 red ones, some have green ones. Also some have a red rope around their shoulder and some with a yellow scarf around their neck....just wondering if anyone knew what they stand for. Thanks!
My son also, with his wisdom teeth, and I haven't heard either......."No news is good news, no news is good news etc"....(insert prayer)...then back to "No news is good news.".... :)
Hi Robin,
I know exactly how you are feeling, my daughter also needed to get her wisdom teeth pulled and I am sure she is fine, or we probably would have recieved a phone call, so no news is good news!!
Micki
Lala...Thanks for pointing that out--trying to stay positive. It's been a long 3 weeks! My son hasn't called yet and I'm dying to know if he had his wisdom teeth pulled yet. UGH!!! I've never had my pulled but I defnitely know that the waiting, wondering and worrying is worse than a root canal LOL
On another note, PIR is 5 weeks away - WHOOHOO!! When should I place my ribbon order with you?
one good thing today, you are no longer the last PIR group on this site :-) Time is moving along even though it may not feel like it just yet.
I hope this will be a great week for letters or least form letters for those who have not received them yet.
