Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Am I allowed to send this to him or will he get in trouble for it? Who can i contact at RTC to double check. I really dont want to get him in trouble.

It occured to me, knowing him like I do, that he may not have nor know where to get envelopes. lol I don't want to send anything that might get him in trouble. I am sure he is finding ways to do that on his own hahaha

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on February 1, 2012 at 9:43pm: They love it when they get those digi blue uniforms. They have been in workout clothes since they got there and they are so tired of them. Plus the digi's are very comfortable from what I have been told.

Chipsahoy, when she hears there are outlets near by that may help her make her decision lol. I think we are going there for a visit this weekend.

She was accepted to UNC Charlotte, Belmont Abby in Charlotte, Brevard College (NC), Mars Hill College (NC, my alumni), Burea in KY, one in GA I can't remember the name lol, and APP. Still waiting to hear from UNCW and a couple others. She is such a great kid and very smart. She plans to teach High school Spanish. :-)

That is so sad they took his pen away Chipsahoy, he should grab a couple extra just in case. My Sailor said she would write at night when she was waiting in line for the bathroom and in her rack with only little red lights to see lol. I cherish each letter she wrote <3

He said that the uniform he just got made him feel "awesome" and that makes me feel awesome! Made hotel reservations over the weekend. It finally feels as if we are moving forward. Can't wait for PIR.
