BREAD!!!! Bread Conny...send some MY way...I am German on my Fathers side...I have been told that my great grandfather owned a Bakery when he first came to this country!

I know you can't send it now...but what a treat for your son if you bring some to PIR!

That bread sounds yummy. Bread is also one of my downfalls lol.

I love the countdown clock! Got my box last Friday, but anxiously awaiting form letter-hoping in the next few days.

CRGNavyMom:  Start a discussion above for 128!  The other ladies will find you!

Ok, Craig...nice to "offer" to have the goodies sent to you!  I say...she can make them and bring them to the MeetNGreet and for her sailor to enjoy after PIR!  YUM!

Funny story when my son was there:  It was Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays the year he was at bootcamp.  He received a package from TX.  Knew no one in TX  then (he does now and lives there!)...RDCs grilled him on who would have sent it.  He had no clue.  He had to open it...Christmas goodies...of course, they were taken from him...and he saw the RDCs enjoying them later in the day!  We never found out who sent them, but since many were writing him, I have a feeling that some fav teachers, etc sent them.  There was no ID in the box.  He thought the whole story was pretty funny.

If you send any food, then he will get Intensive Training (IT'd).  Which means he will be:

Jumping Jacks (usually 40-50 reps)
Leg Lifts, Left Side (again, 40-50)
8-Count Body Builders (25-30)
4-Count Mountain Climbers (20-30)
4-Count Sit-ups (20-30)
Leg Lifts, Right Side (40-50)
Down...............................Up Push-ups (25 or so)

He won't be too happy with you.  I know you mean well, but you don't want him to stand out.  You want him to just blend in with the others.  It's the only time in the Navy where you want to be average.

Save that good food while he's in "A" school.  He (and his friends) will love you for it.

btw:  If you already made that food, I'd hate it to go to waste, so being the nice guy I am, send it to me.  I'll make sure it gets properly disposed of...
