Thank you jennifer! Yes the Family Guide will answer lots of questions and is good to print up! I also have provided a link to a Page that has links to the RTC WEBSITE where you can find the FG and other valuable information.

It is up under the cube.

Families, I’m going to post this a couple of times . . . as you begin to write your SRs, ask them to spread the word about Navy for Moms amongst the division, so the other SR's share with their families. The comfort and support of the N4M family, the questions that get answered and the info provided is of real value  . . . especially as you get closer to PIR. I went through one bootcamp / PIR without N4M, the other one with N4M. Being able to share the experience with this community is significantly different.

Hi, all. Just stopping in to introduce myself. I'm a mom of two sailors who have gone through BC in the past year. I'm spending more time right now with a couple groups who are closer to PIR, but will begin checking in here, too. Please feel free to connect and / or ask questions. Meanwhile, I know other volunteer veteran moms are taking good care of you!! ENJOY the journey--this is an experience for both You and your Sailor, and something you'll never forget. ;-)

Hello!

FireTeamLeaderWife here!

My Sailor PIR’d on 05/26/2011. He is a Seabee Reservist. I have been an AF Reservist wife for 27 + years…I know …not Navy…but I am familiar with military life! We have been through two Deployments…one right after 9/11 and most recently a year ago…our son enlisted while Hubby was in Iraq. This site was a Godsend and helped me get through not only our sons BC experience but my husbands and my separation for 6 months.

I am a “veteran” mom on the PIR groups mostly. I have been on them now for the last 9 months and we have 5-7 PIR groups running at the same time.

I will check in here to see if I can answer any questions and lend support. There will be a few other veteran moms along to lend a hand and support you all through your PIR experience. Others drop in occasionally too…plus we are always looking for more to “join the ranks”. Things change in the military and we like to give out the most current info that we can so moms that have just gone through this help a lot.

I have a lot of Discussions with information to provide you along the way. I will post as the subjects come up! Please ask any and all questions…there are NO dumb ones Folks!

Welcome! Hang on for the ride!
