Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by linda smith on April 3, 2012 at 9:28pm: blm I have started getting letters more often than just wednesdays. I got one Friday and one Monday. He said in the one that they are aloud to mail out more often now it is 3 days a week instead of just one. I also found a pic of the group in their fire fighting outfits and I know that the one is my son if anyone is interested in looking at the pic I will post it on here just let me know. But i do know that the one is my son.

I am still writing to her though everyday-it seems like I wouldn't have anything to say, but then the words come. I throw in a joke or prayer or funny picture every now and then. It's sunny here in Pittsburgh!

Our teens are away on their senior trip and it is just me and my hubby at home getting a taste of being empty nesters. So far it is not too bad so far, I am used to them being at school all day then at work in the evenings but I am going to have to learn to cook for 2 and not 4 lol.

TimmysMomma- it has been storming and raining here all afternoon, more of the same from now through Friday.
