Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. Comment by B3kranch on March 20, 2012 at 3:25pm: Just spoke with my son's recruiter and his PIR didn't change. System says 4/28/12 but he said that just means he'll leave RTC on that date, his PIR is still 4/27/12 . . .

They do "asmo" individual SRs however, for various things...including illness, injury, PFA failure (last one right before PIR...but they still have a chance to make it before their PIR), academic failure, language issues, discipline, etc.

Just so happens I was going to book my plane tickets today, think I'll wait another day or so. Please let me know if you have anymore information. Thank you!

One of the moms got a call from her son last night and he told her the division's PIR was changed ...Does anyone know anything? Does the whole division get PIR pushed back?

I knew he was wanting to go but I thought he had changed his mind his room is the first one when i walk into the house I have 2 other sons living with me but they do their own thing this son is the baby I know things will be better when he is in a school, are they getting paid while in boot camp and i do go to bed early i just hope all is well with him

When I'm alone, I go to bed earlier than normal. My 9yo daughter has kept me company alot and my husband has tried to find things for us to do.
