OMG finally I got 2 letters!! Dang I cry when I didn't get a letter and cry when I do.  Does that make sense?? He said they did get any sleep the first night and then he was put on watch the 2nd night. He said that his bunkmate is cool and from Boston. He said that camp has been a bit rough because of some jerks but when they get smoked they get it hard..but nothing that they  can't handle,Still loving the Navy

.. I am so happy.. Sounds like they we be ok

Can someone tell me what RPOC is? My SR said he hasn't gotten it yet.

Comment by diannep on March 17, 2012 at 10:46am

FLOAT COMMAND?  I would think that refers to the "float" they have to pass in the swim portion.  They only have to pass that once.  The PFAs....all must pass all parts in the 3rd(final) one.

Don't worry...."beatings" don't mean they physical touch them...well, you all already knew that!  But they work them hard then!

Good morning all!

B3kranch i think i once found on this site that "beatings" is they dont get touched.... but that it is EXTRA VERY TOUGH WORKOUT ... i AM PRAYING ALSO.... that they will get better, like my son said... THEY LEARN how to AVOID THEM ... he also said... when they had a really windy day and they where marching outside, there hads fell off because of the wind, and for that they got yelled at ....:(  have a good day

@ Codysmom... my son said the mail is weired... but he said he is writing in his bunk under the "red light", he said he will try to write a letter every night and then just send them out in a hole bunch when he can ... praying for you also that you will get one... he wrote his first on the 11 th and the 2nd on the 12th and put them together in one envelope which i received yesterday ... ALSO I HAVE A QUESTION  what is the FLOAT COMMAND in swimming ?

well the weather is very pleasant almost to summery and i worked on my front yard Thursday which i felt on my old body yesterday... so today me and my other 3 children will go out and do the back part of the yard ...which is a lot to catch up, leftover leaves from fall and doggie issues .... and of couse before i do that i will write quick a little letter to my recruit ... wish you all lots of mail and perhaps calls this sunday ... GOD BLESS YOU ALL and ALL OUR RECRUITS AND SAILORS

Conny Ahoi - I'm not sure how to interpret "beatings" {:-\ I have been praying that there are no "knuckle heads" in the group to cause them unnecessary pain or to lose or delay their phone privileges.

CodysMom, with only 9 divisions graduating I would take the extra guests for sure. They should not have a problem getting in. We had 13 DIV's and took four extras and everyone got in with no trouble ;-) There should be plenty of room.

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on March 17, 2012 at 9:07am

Yeah, the mail up there can be crazy. I wrote every day and several others were writing her as well. One day she got 2 letters, the next 14 and the next one. Crazy system for sure. But writing every day is the best idea because they live for mail call ;-)

Good Morning Moms. Hope everyone slept good last night.  Maybe some more of us will hear from our SR's. Got to work outside today.. My yard needs attention.

I will check in later..

Hello!

Sorry I was MIA today! I had lots of chores to catch up on.

One of our sons invited two friends over…so I have six (counting hubby) “men” in the house. The testosterone levels are in the “red” zone!

I have stocked up on Pizza, Chips and Donettes…wonder what they will eat?!
