~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hello All~~
"The lamp of the Lord searches
the spirit of the man;
it searches his inmost being."
Proverbs 20:27
So Poochie has been renamed SEAL Poochie for the time being? :) Hope all is well and the swelling is starting to subside.
We're midway through the week moms and I know we're all anxious for Saturday phone calls! Lets keep them positive and inspirational. I read somewhere (or saw a video) that Battlestations was actually created by Disney so remind them its a giant simulation ride and although its going to be tough, it'll be worth the ride!!
How is Poochie today?
Scary, Kaleigh's Gramma! We have the Everglades down here and gators pop up in our lakes all of the time. Watch that pup closely! :-)
Good Morning All !
Praying for your Poochie. We live on a large lake in Florida and have to watch out for water moccasins and alligators. Our black lab/Border collie mix goes for swim a few times a week, so we watch for gators particularly at this time of year...I saw two 6-8 footers the other day. Our neighbors killed 2 moccasins in their yard about a week ago. They are mean and very agressive, and Princess is so curious. Get well soon, Poochie!
Lala,
Prayers for your Poochie!! Oh, I know you are going to be staying with him tonight to make sure he is okay and can breathe. What a hero he is!! Please keep us posted on his condition~~ (((Lala & Poochie))) Cyber hug for both of you!!
The next time you see that sub, you can say, "So how do you like being blessed with heterochromia iridum?" You should get a smile in return!
So so sorry everyone, it has been crazy around here. We think he is going to be okay. The vet gave him antibiotics, prednisone, and pain pills. It was really hard to get him to take the medicine because he is so swollen he wouldn't eat and he can't lap up any water and that is what worries me the most. My dad finally got him to take the medicine by hiding it in a small piece of a McDonalds cheeseburger :) They wanted to put him in the hospital and give him antivenom but everyone we know who tried that with their dogs that got snake bites ended up with their dog dying so we didn't do it. He looks like a seal his he is so big and swollen. He was bitten four times in the mouth and face :( He had the snake in his mouth shaking it back and forth and my dad was out there with him. We think he was trying to protect my dad. Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate it.
I love that pic everytime I see it :)
CatMom, that is very cool to know. Poochie is half black lab and half Husky, that's where he gets the blue eye. I have a friend who works at the high school where I sub who has one green eye and one brown eye. So cool to see that in a person :)
How is he doing, Lala?
Prayers for Poochie--he should be fine since you got fast help--my brother is a veterinarian and he said it shouldn't be a problem unless there is something unexpected....
