Ditto what Jmama and katyellen have posted.  I didn't write much on here but I visited this site a couple times a day for info and to stay connected. Thanks to all who helped lighten my heavy heart.  Prayers to you.  Now....I'VE GOT TO GO PACK!!!!!  =)

jmama i couldn't have said it better myself.  These last couple months have been a roller coaster for all of us.  The support we have gotten has helped us through all the ups and downs.  It has been a pleasure reading all your posts and with some there are still ups and downs and i pray that they get settled.  We are so proud of our sailors and i know we are all looking forward to an adventure that will stay in our hearts for the rest of our lives.  Thankyou moms, sisters, brothers, girlfriends and so on...thanks for making this group the great group it was.  I hope to meet alot of you there at Great Lakes.

thanks so much Jmama, you brought tears to my eyes. It is always good to feel appreciated and you made all of us feel appreciated. I am so glad you love the ribbons and and their differences and I know you and your family will all wear them proudly :-) We look forward to hearing all about your "PIR" experience.

On behalf of all of us N4Moms veterans, thank you so much, Jmama, for your kind words.  We love helping you all, and hope some of you will join our "team" after PIR to pay it forward to the newbies in the future PIR groups!  So glad that I could help!

FTLW:  Ok, so...the fact that Buckley is the "old" entrance tells you how long ago I was there!  :-)  Where does the shuttle drop off now?  Do you know?  Don't want to guide ladies on here the wrong way!

Let me say THANK YOU to diannep for the support comfort and advice that she gave me when we were private messaging about my SR's situation earlier. I was one on edge mama and she really helped me until I finally did hear from my SR. I tell you the roller coaster ride is bad enough but when you start to run off the track it's even worse. So where would any of us be if we didn't have the support and great advice from all the veteran moms on here. I know they have their own lives to live and families to take care of so for each of them to continue to come back to this site and post and encourage the hundreds of moms, girlfriends, fiances, and yes even dads on a daily basis deserves the highest award that can be handed out. I know I would have been a total basket case and very lost through out all of this if it hadn't have been for this connection. It's so funny when I have gotten to talk to my SR that I know more than he does. It just confirms what he's believed all his life......moms got eyes in the back of her head! Lol. He asked me what PIR was and what it stood for. Huh? I couldn't believe he didn't know!

Lalaribbons I received our ribbons and I love them! Especially that they all had some small difference in them and I could decide which one of us got which! I'm getting the one with the curlier 2 and dad is getting the one with the bigger stars anyway I just love the special touch and that they weren't all exactly alike!

I can't wait to get back on here early next week to post those three wonderful words......I have a sailor........until then..........

TY diannep...you went in on the old entrance of Buckley...Illinois entrance I believe!

Comment by diannep on July 1, 2012 at 8:22pm

...thinking now that 2 divisions will be going through tomorrow night, and two the next night.  Have received conflicting info, so just keep the phones "in the bras" until that sailor calls you...no matter what day it is!  :-)

You're very welcome, cbadillo.  FTLW, Lala, Betsy, ellen,  and the rest of us have loved helping!  Sorry that we won't be meeting any of you this week since we have already "been there" for our PIRs.  But we will be there with you in spirit!

Comment by cbadillo on July 1, 2012 at 5:44pm

Amber, I'm so happy things are falling into place for you!

Ladies,  We are almost there!  I can not wait to see my son again.  What an emotional rollercoaster these past weeks have been.  Sincere thanks to all of you for being here.  Just reading others posts has been so helpful.

Dianne & FTLW,  many thanks for all your invaluable help.  We have all depended on you and boy have you come through for us all.    I am looking forward to meeting everyone on Friday.  We are staying at the Ramada so will most likely attend their Meet n Greet.
