Yes the PIR was definitely awesome.  They put pictures up on the RTC facebook page.  My son was in 209 and there is a cover photo of that group.  Pretty cool.  He is now in SA, TX and loving the freedom of phone calls, etc.  I was at my husbands graduation back in 90 at San Diego and I don't recall it being so emotional and amazing.  Best of luck to all of the sailors!

PIR was amazing... I am so glad my son is in A school now...  Now I can actually text and call whenever... its so great...  My son also stayed in GL for A school..  I had 3 wonderful, busy days with him... he has changed, much more composed and he is a man now!!lol....  I am soo happy.. words cant really describe the feelings I had during graduation...  But I dont have to describe because you all know!!  Congrats to all of you and your Sailors....:)

Lets keep in contact...every once in a while pop in and say hi and whats going one with your sailor.  Mine is still in Great Lakes and schooling for fire control.  We went to take him back and it was like a little city within the gates.  What a great site.  Please post where your sailors are at and what they are doing.

Hi  - First of all, congratulations to all the newly grads of this PIR group! Very very happy for you and i'm sure you are all over the top happy right now! :) Just want to ask, for all those who's headed to Pensacola for A-School, when did your SR leave for their flights? Were you able to spend some time with them at the airport? Thanks so much in advance for your response! :) Have a wonderful day! :)

Just got home from PIR...Wow, it was fantastic.  It was exciting and we felt so proud.  Went to the store on base and went to the Navy Pier and had a lot of fun with our son.  Saturday we went to the beach and it was windy and cool and absolutely beautiful.  Could not have been a better weekend.  Congrats to all our sailors..
