Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by Proudmama! on June 28, 2012 at 12:22pm: We are supposed to drive up from Texas and leave on the Tuesday night the July 3rd and it looks like he won't be done until Wed afternoon which would put us half way there!! So worried! What if we need to turn back! What do you all think he is in 934.

DanaVann: Up to 4 divisions can go a night, but sometimes only a set of brother divisions go, or sometimes a set with 900 or 800 division. So 2, 3 or 4 divisions can go through a night.

Hoss: The ssailors usually know if a whole division passed or not, but it is possible some didn't pass their final PFA and didn't get to do BattleStations. But they usually know this too when they report on a division passing.

Comment by HossLuvinNavyMom(S09 D205) on June 28, 2012 at 11:23am: Morning ladies! Today is the day! Left phone on ring and put high up on cabinet where I see 2-3 bars and not just 1, as last time it did not ring but went straight to voice mail - WANT to talk to him this time.

Will be watching the forum too, but concerned of one thing. If someone posts that the Div passed BS and this is posted, has it ever happened that someone in the Div did not and there was a mis-understanding from the SR that said it as they were up all night etc. I am so scared to get excited til I actually hear from him, just in case. But if he has watch and I hear all the Div passed, am I safe to send my family the "He's a Sailor" email?

Can't wait to meet ya'll next week too (obviously I am hoping!).
