Amber - I am so glad he called and you were able to speak with him! I was racking my brain trying to figure something out for you...due to a little "guardian angel" you have on here! (hugs to you GA)

Don't foget to ask him tomorrow about his pay...I mean well...you know his health first though!! I hope that it is something minor but whatever it is I escpecially hope that it does not hinder him.

I was going to ask too though like diannep if he had maybe opened a Navy Fed account since you said there was something up about his paperwork...cuz if he did that would explain a lot. If he did then he would need to transfer funds for you somehow.

Also, I know you are on the Wives, GF...group. ANtiM on there can be a big help...so I would ask on there about this too if need be!:-)

Praying for great news for you dear! BIG, BIG Hugs to you!

So my plane arrives in MKE(Milwaukee) at 10:20 on July 4th, so should I call Sarge now to "reserve" my ride or ???

Comment by diannep on June 27, 2012 at 5:12pm

Here's Sarge's phone number if you need transportation arrangements:

Hi all! PIR is almost here! So excited!! Making transportation arrangements from and to airports. Spoke with Sargent and he suggested posting info as maybe other families traveling about the same time and can share taxi cost. On Thursday our son arrives at Midway at 8:05pm. Anyone else that wants to share ride to Waukegan? It will decrease cost per person if so! Also he leaves Sunday at 4pm from Midway and we have a group of 4 leaving from O'Hare Monday at noon. Give Sargent a call to arrange transportation and message me so we know who to look for to ride share!

Amber: Is it possible that he opened a Navy Fed account at bootcamp?

Comment by diannep on June 27, 2012 at 11:41am

DanaVann:  BattleStations are run on the weeknights and occasionally on Sunday nights.  Never on Fri/Sat nights.  They usually start 9-10 days before their PIR date.  They finish up during PIR week.  They normally don't "skip" nights except for Fri/Sat nights.

Captains Cup is this Sat. morning for this group.  Here is the link for info!  A fun day for your SRs/sailors!

DanaVann:  BattleStations are approximately 12 hours long.  Overnight drill.  But...by the time they get to hit their racks at 8 pm the day they finish (2 hours earlier than normal), they have been up for about 38 hours are so!  They cannot fall asleep during BattleStations are they automatically fail...but don't worry...they keep each other awake.  And even for those who may fail, they go through a 2nd time on another night and pass!

Amber:  I know you just want to know what is going on.  You can try calling the PAO and asking what his status is.  Not sure they will tell you much, but it is worth a try.  Seems strange that he didn't leave a message, unless he was told he couldn't leave one.  Here is the number to call about his status:

847-212-0246

Hang in there!  Hoping you get some positive news soon!

Comment by diannep on June 27, 2012 at 11:31am

Just a reminder, ladies.  We are not allowed to post actual BattleStations dates on this page.  That is an RTC request for both N4Moms and Facebook.  So if you posted an actual date below, please click on the "x" in the box and delete!

Having said that, the PIR 06/29 group doing BattleStations this week is totally normal.  The PIR groups usually start a week before their PIR date...and lately have been starting even 10 days before.  So....they actually do them during two different weeks.  They always "finish up" during PIR week.  So...no one was "behind" in doing their BattleStations.

There is more information here about BattleStations:

I have received a date for 211/212 BattleStations.  Message me if you need it!
