leftwayleft: Your SR will have the new password for this group. Do you still have the password for the 06/29 group? When my son was setback, I called the PAO and told them I needed the new password for his new division. They asked me for the old one I had before from the original group, then gave me the new one.
But ask your SR in the next call since he should know this too.
The parking (gate) passes for this group should be available sometime on Monday. Here is the link:
http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp
Use the password in your form letter, typed in ALL CAPS. You can print as many as you like...you write the info in. I took "extras" just in case! Also, if taking the hotel shuttles, you do not need the gate pass, but you will if you want to drive on base when returning your sailor that night to RTC....and you can also use it at GL A School base (initially) if your sailor will be moving over there.
I'm struggling to find the site that has the parking pass for PIR. I've been on it but now cannot re-navigate my way there. Can someone please help?
From OverlyVirtualInternetStimulatedMom (sometimes the computer gives me a headache...LOL) Thanks
Received my PIR ribbons yesterday from LalaRibbons (?), not sure if I said that right. Anyhow, they are awesome, perfect, beautiful...thank you so much. Our SR will be so surprised to see us wearing them and we will be very proud to be wearing them. Thanks again ladies for all the discussions guiding me in the right direction to make this purchase. Only 13 days to go....very cool...cannot wait!! ;-))
leftwayleft, My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your SR. I feel so blessed to have a received a letter every week but know that could change at any time. I don't know that I could handle what you are going through. I do agree with you; if it was something seriously bad they would have called you. No news is good news. Hang in there. Both you and you SR will get through this and what a joyous time PIR will be!
Sent you a message, Teachermom.
MSMom: So strange that your son had to redo things in the new PIR group. My son left his group on 3-2 (training week 3/day 2). He joined his next PIR group/division that was at the same point in training...3-2. Strange that they are now making SRs redo things they have already done, but I have heard that from a few others.
Sent you a message, leftwayleft, and posted on the 06/29 group too. Hope that explains it a little better.
If you don't hear from your SR this weekend, I would call the PAO again on Monday and make sure he really is in the 07/06 group. Seems odd that he didn't call you with that info. They are supposed to do that. Hang in there...come PIR day, you will have a great reason to celebrate! :-)
Good Morning all!
