Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I do have to admit that from the first recruiter visit until yesterday the hardest part was watching my son walk away when we took him back to RTC. Those few hours with him were great and I am going to treasure every bit of time with him in the future.

It felt eerily like the day we left him at MEPs all over again. I am quickly learning that the happy hellos will always end with a proud, tearful goodbye and we need to make the most of the short time we get. This time though, because of all of you, I am confident he is in good hands.

I was speechless (probably for the first time in my life according to my husband). I cannot put into word how amazing it was to see my confident Sailor son and meet some of his friends as well as some N4M ladies. We are staying in Chicago to see some sights until Tuesday. One Sailor in my sons division didn't get to leave for school with his group due to some red tape and his parents have to fly back so we plan to invite him with us if he has extra liberty time to spend. I can't thank all of you veteran moms enough for what you do here. Not only did I get great information and moral support but I met some great people. Eight weeks ago I thought I'd never survive this path my son chose. Now I couldn't be prouder to call myself a Navy Mom! Thank you just doesn't seem like enough.

The USO at Midway is located in Concourse C. USO Midway 773-582-5852

The USO at O'Hare is located in T-2 Mezzanine Level - before the security check-point. USO O'Hare 773-686-7396
