Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Just posted recently about this being her 2nd sailor...his twin is connected to a sub. I know she is feeling the same excitement that you are! She said her bootcamp son got to talk to her submarine son for the first time in ages and she was so thrilled (I'm a Sailor calls).

One mom I met back in 2010 when her son was going through bootcamp used duct tape and taped her phone to her forehead! I use to have a picture of it...can't find it now but it was too funny. If I can find it, I'll post it!

I have to tell you this story about my Sailor. Shhh don't tell her I told all of you. When she was about 11 or so they came out with commercials for the wonder bra. She asked me "why anyone would need a bra with water in it and what is a push-up bra for?" Once I explained that too her she looked down at her chest and then up at me and said "Do you think they make those for one side?" OMG I busted out laughing, could not stop myself, we still laugh about it. So so funny.
