Oh my, Britt....sure hope all is ok!  Keep us posted...any damage to your place?

I just saw news footage of the HUGE hail chunks that fell in the Dallas TX area.  My son lives near Austin.  Hope they didn't get any of it.  It damaged cars, roofs, etc...hail the size of hockey pucks, they said.  Wow.

armor, what rate is your son? I should probably ask that before I try and give you a  some kind of probably sort of maybe reason that he would stay in GL before A School

Banners are great but if you make one you will have to use it at the hotel or maybe on your car. They don't allow banners or posters/sign in the PIR hall. It's not that they don't want you to show support for your Sailor but they want everyone to be able to see, or try to see, their Sailor when they march in. One mom snuck a sign in and held it up when her son's division marched in and another mom behind completely missed seeing her son. Hanging it in your hotel room is an awesome idea :-)

amor:  Ask that question on the Groton group on here.  You may have other ladies who can tell you why on that group.  You also may want to ask it on the Great Lakes A School Q&A group.

Helping a Dad on here out!

"Now here this! Now here this! This is a group for you Dads out there. If you've been to other groups and just can't find the information you're looking for, this would be the place to ask.

And gosh darn it, men have feelings and miss their sailors too!

So come onboard and batten down your hatches."

hey everyone, my SR just wrote to me to tell me that he has been told that he has to stay in great lakes for 6 weeks f school BEFORE he can go to the A-school he was originally told he'd be attending in Groton, CT...why would they make him stay in great lakes if his A-school is in CT? i don't get it...has anyone had a similar experience?
