You are all right of course; he is probably really busy and he isn't much of a writer either (I did threaten him though before he left that he had to write to me...LOL).  It's nice to know we all share some very similar feelings.  I will hang in there.  I'm sure he's fine, just want to hear it from him.  Thanks again everyone.

Jmama--I have the countdown app on my phone for both of my boys!  I thought we would get a letter today, too.  I did receive one from his brother who graduates next Friday.  I usually get his mail on Thursdays, but nothing from his brother yet...maybe tomorrow?

Hey Ladies! I know how you are feeling! I'm in Texas and I thought for sure I would receive my letter today from my SR! Sure would love to hear from him. I have never went this long from hearing from him. So I guess I'll have to send Super Mailman to go get our letters from the black Abyss again! Lol. It's been 17 days 9 hrs 53 min. Since he left! And it is 1 month 11 days 12 hrs and 58 min until PIR, but who is counting? I AM....... Lol

Twopercentsmom, no letter for me yet either. My SR is sure not much of a writer either but I sure hope he at least lets me know he's ok. I agree with you about being on the west coast...I think our mail takes a little extra time. So happy for all of you who got to hear from your SRs this week. What a relief that must be! My son has only been gone two weeks but I'm wishing I wouldn't have been so quick to wash his clothes...sounds obsessive but I'd like to smell his shirt right about now.

I was really hoping for a letter today; but nothing.  I'm going to hope it arrives tomorrow.  I think being in Northern CA makes our mail slower.  Coming up on the 3 weeks this weekend and now I can really start to see and feel how not hearing from them can wear on you and make you feel a bit blue...hoping to hear from him this weekend.  I hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

received letter yesterday... i was SO ecstatic ... he s stated they were wwriting but they could not be sent till 5-20 ...He says he has made section leader... anybody help me out on that one??
Comment by diannep on May 24, 2012 at 8:33am

Yes, I agree with FTLW about not calling "the number" back from GL if you miss a call.  Your SR will pay the price for that!  So if you miss it, just wait for the next one!

So glad to see you here, TylersMom>  My son was delayed in training also when at bootcamp (for a week) and I was so excited when he joined another division and continued on to PIR.  Welcome!
