bobbie:  Sometimes they are allowed to call if they won Captains Cup, sometimes not.  Just depends on their RDCs!

Damaris:  Thanks for the confirmation on the BattleStations date for 243/244.  It is now on the schedule in the Battlestations discussion group above without questionmarks!  Still waiting for confirmation of Div 817's date for BattleStations.

...can be a small black duffel bag instead of backpack, if you want.
Comment by diannep on July 26, 2011 at 9:06am

kdahlen:  Yes, plain black backpacks, no logos or other colors on them (you can remove with a seam ripper, or color in).  They can then have their cells, laptops, ipods, etc.  Has to be given to them at the airport....or after they have moved over to GL A School base (i.e., have left RTC and will not be returning).

Ramada runs its own shuttle (the other hotels use the PIR shuttle service, which are actually just taxis operating as shuttles for PIR). So you probably just need to tell them when you check in that you will want to take it.  If you are concerned about that, call them now and ask about it.

andrewsmom:  lisarobin is so right about that!  No call means that they may still be sick, but are hanging in there with it and getting better.  The RDCs really do work with those who are sick, trying to give them light duty until they are better so they are not asmoed.(setback)  However, having said that, if they are really sick, they will make sure they get medical treatment that is needed.  So try not to worry!  There is a guy with pneumonia right now in the FIT division (because he did not make his run time by PIR--so in this division to train until he does make it) and he is fighting this off well enough that they have not had to move him to medical...he is still trying to make the run!  I know he will do it...once those lungs are healthy again!
