mostele: I would check directly with the hotel about that.

Thanks to both CNM and Andrews mom.... You guys rock. I will let you know, but I'll have my son with me also. I'm thinking,  I am staying overnight on Thursday, was just wondering if we are going to PIR that early...Does anyone know do they offer an extension for Navy families for check out? Or can we check out early before the shuttle in the morning??

clarkedu:  That is what I had thought also, and had been advising that way.  Then another N4M veteran sent me a "gentle" reprimand and attached a copy of the official page that said either solid Navy or Black would be acceptable.  But I'm thinking most would want Black anyway...

@mostele..... If the hotels tell you no... come to ramada waukegan and you can ride with us.. we will tell them you were a family member that arrived late :)

Mostele, you are welcome to hop in with us or ride with us on shuttle. I think we are driving in actually. But we can make room! We'll be at Radison, but we will be leaving hotel by 6am at the latest. We have an extra guest to try to get in.

Yes, RTC said black only. No Navy.
Comment by clarkedu (MM Nuke Prototype) on July 23, 2011 at 4:58pm
If I remember correctly, RTC posted on their fb that navy blue is not acceptable.  The bag must be black.

If you can remove the logos are color them in with permanent black marker so they aren't seen, don't think it would be an issue on the backpack. But should appear to be all black or Navy (black would be easier to find).

mostele:  Hmmmm....not sure about that as the hotel may keep a list...just don't know.  The shuttles are usually for hotel guests, but how much they verify this is beyond me.  We were scheduled for the 6:30 one from Residence. My older son was dragging (late) so we literally ran out the side of the building and into the waiting shuttle (actually cabs operating as shuttles).  No one from Residence checked off our name or anything.  I guess you can try?  The shuttle company operates independently, so I would imagine anyone who can pay the $3/pp each way can ride on it.

andrewsmom:  Phone calls can be awarded and taken away or delayed-- for any reason . So he just may have made that score and didn't get to call yet...or maybe not.  No rhyme nor reason for the phone calls which come randomly usually!
