Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I just about fell off the couch when I found out lol , as you and I know Chicago and how it gets during any event that goes on at the lake many others have not a clue , I got on here ASAP to warn everyone thank goodness I fell into that 2 weeks before hand ( there is a God ) we are here for eachother and I would hate for any of us to get stuck in a jam and I know the SRs have to be back on time ! On a better note 2 MORE WEEKS FROM TODAY YIPIE !!!! Have a great day !

Comment by PNM Carolyn ( MAA MOM ) on July 20, 2011 at 11:22pm: Ok Ladies FYI just found out by chance that Lollapalooza 2011 is running from Aug 5th - 7th in Grant Park ( 130 Bands ) so that means if you had planned on going downtown like us traffic and public transportation is going to be a nightmare ! Here is the link so you can check out the map www.lollapalooza.com , Im so disapointed! The week after is the Tall Ships at Navy Pier , FIGURES !!!! :( At least we get to be with our SRs :) Just wanted to give a heads up for everyone going to PIR .
