Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by blythe9041 on August 17, 2012 at 12:02pm: Ship 3 Div 245 Moms. Who belongs to Bracey. Our sons became friends. My son didnt graduate 8?10 due to medical problem. Somebody decided to pull his teeth at the last minute. He passed out during his last run. Im eagerly waiting for a call.

Comment by NavyMom Maria(Ship07, Div242) on August 15, 2012 at 5:46pm: I just came back home after attended my son's PIR 8/10, and learned from him that BC was easy for him. He was prepared and went to Gym do the worked out, swimming etc, before he went in. He said JROTC in high school was much harder for him. He had Marine who trained him at that time. BC was actually basic staffs that you need to know and equip. They learn to be more dicipline.
